Very slow download speed can't update game because download speed is 1 kb/s even though usual dl speed is 3 mbps Showing 1-15 of 27 comments. When they release a patch thats 6mb it zooms to the end and sits with the dl bar full saying downloading update forever I have to close and relauch patcher like 10 times to get the damn thing to. How to download the patch faster! Sign in to follow this. Well download speed is indeed insane low, this is going to take me 17 hours with a 20MB connection. Well I got 0.9-1.5MB/s Not fast but not slow either. Just gonna go eat dinner and it will be ready. Though some games like Rift do have 5-6MB/s updates.

Eso Downloading Very Slow
Hi everyone. I have a new laptop. When I'm in the same room as my router with full network strength, speedtest.com is giving me ~7Mbps down and ~2Mbps up. My phone in the same location on the same network is giving me the full 30Mbps down and 5Mbps up. I've confirmed that my laptop is not on the 2.4ghz band by disabling it from the router and setting my laptop to prefer 5ghz bands. I have also never input the password for that connection and have only ever connected to the 5ghz band.
My laptop is an acer swift 3 14 i5-7200u with an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC7265 network adapter.
My phone is a OnePlus 2 and lists this as the network adapter: Dual-band Wi-Fi: 2.4GHz 802.11b/g/n and 5GHz 802.11a/n/ac
My router is an Archer C2600 from tp-link ( http://www.tp-link.com/us/products/details/cat-5506_Archer-C2600.html )
My old laptop was a somewhat outdated HP which only had a b/g/n card and connected to the 2.4ghz network and was still getting faster speeds than my new laptop.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
